The Lipton Cup runs on wind, water, & volunteers.
A regatta doesn't run itself. Behind every race start, every registration desk, and every cold beer handed over the bar is a volunteer who made it happen. The Lipton Cup Regatta is powered by people who love sailing and love their club — and we need more of them.
Whether you want to be out on the water as part of the race committee or safety boat crew, or you'd rather be shore-side helping with registration, marshalling, OTB canteen or the presentation — there's a role for you. No experience necessary for most roles, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.
Volunteering at the Lipton Cup is a great way to be part of one of Victoria's biggest sailing weekends, meet great people, and see the regatta from a completely different angle. And yes — there will be food, drinks and live music on the lawn, and volunteers get to enjoy that too.
We're looking for volunteers across:
-
Race committee and mark laying
-
Safety boat crew
-
Registration and competitor check-in
-
Marshalling and on-shore support
-
OTB Canteen
-
Presentation and pack-down crew
