You don’t need to be on the water to be part of the action at the Lipton Cup. The Royals lawn is open to members, guests, families, and anyone chasing a great weekend on the waterfront. Drop in for a few hours or make yourself at home for the whole weekend, however you choose to enjoy it, you’re always welcome at Royals. Keep an eye out this year for pre-purchased drink tokens designed to speed up service for competitors and guests. We’ll also have pre-sold jugs and packages available to make things even easier so you can spend less time queuing and more time enjoying the atmosphere!
FRIDAY 20TH NOVEMBER - Twilight & Welcome to the 2026 Lipton Cup
12 pm until late
Join us Friday as the club comes alive, whether you’re rigging up for the Invitational Twilight Race or just here for the atmosphere, it’s the perfect way to start the Lipton Cup regatta.
Our kitchen and bar are open from 12pm, so come down early for a long lunch, settle in by the water, and stay right through into the evening celebrations.
Happy hour from 5-7pm, Hop Nation bar shout, cocktail specials, live acoustic music and more!
After the Invitational Twilight Race, all competitors and guests are invited to the Race Briefing at 7pm, everything you need to know before Saturday’s racing.
Plus, don’t miss the raffle with cash and prizes up for grabs, you might just start the weekend at Royals a winner, winner chicken dinner!

SATURDAY 21ST NOVEMBER - Make a Day of It

Whether you’re racing, cheering on friends, or just here for the atmosphere, Royals has your whole day sorted.
Start the morning with a stretch club on the lawn, then ease into bacon and egg rolls, fresh pastries, toasties and barista coffee as the fleet heads out. Take in the buzz of a big regatta morning, then settle in to watch the racing unfold and boats return to shore.
Food is available all day long, with plenty of options to keep you fuelled from morning through to the afternoon. Cold drinks, takeaway beers, and ice are flowing all day to keep things easy on and off the water.
Once racing wraps up, the energy shifts to the lawn, the BBQ fires up, the tinnie bar opens, and the music kicks in. DJ Retro Red will be spinning all your chilled tunes, setting the perfect vibe as the afternoon rolls on. Think cold beer, sunshine, great music, and the best crowd in Williamstown.
Families are covered too with lawn games, a kids corner, and plenty of space to relax. Sailors can refuel with grab-and-go BBQ options straight off the water.
It’s the kind of day you don’t need to be a sailor to enjoy, but if you are, you’ve definitely earned it.

Stay for the finale. As the last boats cross the line, everyone gathers on the deck for the trophy presentation - a great way to wrap up a brilliant weekend, whether you've been racing hard or cheering from the lawn.
